-Professor Lake, Frank Pabodie
Lake is a professor of biology at Miskatonic University. He is the first to discovers the Mountains of Madness and sees strange objects on surfaces based on his discovery of strange fossils. He is interesting because he is being faced with multiple incidences were he is facing death, but has the urge to continue on with the adventure to the mountains. The book does not describe the characters that much, only saying were they work and it is more to the reader to learn about their personality and try to picture what they might look like. I am drawn to him because he is constantly changing making me think of what he could possibly think of next. At this point, there are no characters that we can not stand, but we also do not know that much about them yet to make this assumption.
Pabodie is a member of Miskatonic's engineering department. He invented the drill for the expedition and also other devices to the expedition's aircraft. He's really interesting with all the knowledge he's acquired from the university and how it helped him in the expedition.
